Nomads maintained their position at the top of Division I by defeating Atletico, who fell away after a strong start. All four Nomads were in double figures, and they achieved a full house bonus. Broken Hearts kept up the chase by beating Pineapple. Again all four Broken Hearts made double figures, and they gained another full house bonus. Third placed Allsorts maintained their good run with a win over Waterloo Sunset, and as with the top two had all four in double figures and a bonus point. In the closest game of the night Old Itonians came from behind to take victory over Barb by a point. Barb have the consolation of a narrow defeat bonus. Joint top scorers in the Division were Gavin Fuller of Allsorts, and David Lea and Paul Steeples of Nomads, all with 18 points.
Congratulations to Pericardium who, in defeating Mealy Bugs, ensured promotion to Division I with three games still to go. Almost certain to join them in Division I next season are Belly, who gained a full house bonus in their win against London Scottish. Third placed Rosslyn Park kept their slim hopes alive by beating Wharfside, but to go up they will need to win all their remaining games, with a bonus in each, and hope Belly lose all theirs. In the Royal Oak derby, Accrington Cylindricals proved far too strong on the night for Ovalytes, and move above them into fourth place on points scored. Top scorer of the night was Mick Lancaster with 21 points for Belly.
